Sinawe Health Plan

The Sinawe Health Plan provides a per day benefit to assist with the expenses incurred during admission to a public hospital. It also provides Funeral and Accidental Death & Disability Cover, Emergency Transportation, HIV Counselling.


Medical Repatriation and Transportation	Emergency transportation from the scene of the accident to the closest State Hospital and transfer between hospitals. Removal and repatriation of mortal remains	All costs covered as long as the designated Service Provider is used - ER24 - 084 124
Hospital per day (Principal member, spouse and up to 8 children)	In the case of an accident or emergency, Injury will be covered from day one onwards. In the case of illness (e.g. pneumonia) or an elective procedure (e.g. pregnancy), cover will commence from day 1 onwards, provided the client is hospitalised for 3 days or more. In the case of confinement in ICU the benefit is increased by 50% (i.e. R 300.00 per person per day) An additional 100% cover if more than one family member is hospitalised for the same event (i.e. R 200.00 per day)	R 200.00 per day R 300.00 per day - ICU R 400.00 per day - 1 or more family members TB Limitations: Claims for Tuberculosis will be limited to R5,000.00 per person and R25,000.00 per family HIV Limitations: The maximum benefit for HIV related illnesses is 10 days
HIV trauma help-line (P3)	A call centre facility to assist members if they have been accidentally exposed to HIV virus e.g. rape or violent assault. Counselling, HIV testing and initial antiretroviral treatment are some of the features or this benefit.	Call 0860 10 29 93
Accidental Death and Disability	Death, total and permanent disability, partial disability and disfigurement due to an accident.
